Happy! Tebuireng Science MTs Wins Champion of Jombang Ministry of Religion HAB Vlog Competition

Tebuireng.online— In the midst of a busy semester exam agenda, the students of MTs Science Salahudin Wahid Tebuireng Kesamben managed to steal attention. Armed with creativity, teamwork and a passion for work, they successfully led the madrasa to win 2nd place in the vlog competition in the context of the Jombang Regency Ministry of Religion Charity Day (HAB) in 2025.

The vlog competition was held on Friday (19/12/2025), at the Jombang Regency Ministry of Religion Office. This event is part of the Jombang Ministry of Religion’s HAB commemoration 2025 and is attended by various educational units under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion.

Deputy head of Student Affairs at MTs Sains Salahudin Wahid Tebuireng Kesamben, Ali Subchan, explained that the process of making vlogs was carried out at the madrasah after school hours. The main challenge faced was adjusting time, because the production process coincided with the odd semester Final Semester Assessment (PAS).

“I made the vlog at the madrasa after school, so I was looking for the right time because it coincided with PAS for the odd semester. Thank God, the talents of all the students were all supportive and willing even though PAS was going on,” said Ali Subchan in an interview, Friday (16/1/2026).

He added, before the shooting process, the supervisors first gathered the selected students according to the video requirements. All the talents then discuss together to determine the concept and theme of the vlog that will be created. The shooting process was carried out over approximately one week in stages.

“First, several students were gathered according to the supervisor’s choice because it was tailored to the needs of the video. Then they discussed together about the concept and theme that would be created. Then we immediately shot for one week in stages,” he explained.

In the production process, the teams are divided according to the needs of the scene, starting from the provincial team, the class representative team, to the voice acting team. For the competition delegation, MTs Science Salahudin Wahid Tebuireng Kesamben sent one student as a presentation representative, namely Azarah Najwa Dwi Aminati. Meanwhile, the total number of talents involved in the vlog consists of 14 students.

Regarding the results achieved, Ali Subchan admitted that he was very grateful and proud. According to him, this competition is a means of proving that the students of MTs Science Salahudin Wahid Tebuireng Kesamben have great potential in the creative field.

“Alhamdulillah, I am very enthusiastic and happy, because this competition can be an opportunity to show that MTs Science SW has students who have extraordinary potential regarding vlogs and videos,” he said.

He also expressed the hope that this achievement would ignite enthusiasm for all students. “The hope is for all MTs Science SW students to continue to be enthusiastic and practice seriously every time they take part in a competition, so that they get satisfactory results and continue to achieve achievements at the national level,” he added.

Meanwhile, Aulia Fitri Bi-Izzati as the team representative revealed that one vlog team consisted of 14 MTs students, with a division of roles involving representatives from all grades 7 to 9. For the competition presentation, students from class 8A were represented.

The contested vlog raised the theme of religious moderation in the context of the Jombang Ministry of Religion HAB 2025. For Aulia, this participation was her first experience of participating in a vlog competition.

“This is the first time I have participated in a competition in this field, and it turned out to be really exciting and added a new experience for me,” said Aulia.

The process of creating a vlog takes approximately one week. Aulia said that there were no significant difficulties during production, but timing was a challenge because it coincided with the implementation of the Final Semester Summative (SAS).

“During the production process there were no difficulties, thank God. But the shooting coincided with the implementation of SAS, so the problem was more about time. But we have tried as hard as possible so as not to disrupt study time,” he said.

In this process, the students received direct assistance from teachers, namely Ustadz Yunus and Ustadz Ade. This assistance helps the team stay focused until the production process is complete.

When she was announced as the 2nd place winner, Aulia admitted that she didn’t expect it. “I’m definitely very happy, because I didn’t believe it, but it turned out I actually got second place,” he said.

In the future, Aulia hopes to continue participating in competitions according to her interests and talents and achieve more achievements.

“My hope in the future is that I can win more competitions, which is my field, and can make the school proud and make my parents proud. As a reporter, I don’t think so, but as a blogger, maybe it could become my hobby because it turns out to be fun,” he concluded.
